Hi friends!
Did you have your Valentine party this week? Ours was yesterday! My student teacher was exhausted after the party because she wasn't sure what to expect! :)
Here's our party day itinerary:
9:00 Calendar
9:15 Valentine Math-The kids each had a box of conversation hearts. They had to sort by color, color a graph, answer questions about it, and write sentences about it!
9:45 Math Station-They go to one math station each day.
10:00 Read Aloud: Franklin's Valentine
10:10 Mailbox Clean Out: We always send take home folders on Fridays and clean out their mailboxes.
10:20 Go Noodle!
PARTY!
I have 5-6 students in each group.
10:30-10:40 Green team passing out valentines, Blue team on iPads
10:40-10:50 Groups above switch
Parents & my student teacher assisted with Valentine pass out!
10:30-10:50 Red & Yellow team with teacher to play games (Minute to Win It!)
At 10:50, the groups switched. So the 2 groups with me went to iPads & pass out stations. The kids that had already finished iPads & pass out stations came to play their games!
11:10 Whole class treats & valentine reading! We had donuts & chocolate covered pretzels.
11:15 Cookie Face Game! The kids had to put a cookie on their forehead and get it to their mouth without touching it. A few parents joined in the fun as well!
11:20-11:30 Go Noodle dance party!
Then my little friends went on their way home to enjoy their long weekend (it was early dismissal for SWIP meetings and then Monday off for President's Day). It was a busy day!
