100th Day of School!

Today was our 100th day! It's always so exhausting...but the kids love it! Here are some pics I snapped during our activities!

We started with our 100 stars. The kids color stars to decorate our door that says "100 Days Brighter!" They were pretty creative! We had some American flag stars and some Spongebob & Patrick stars!

Next up, was our 100 dots activity! The kids follow the coloring directions for the 100 dots!

Next was a simple counting chart of 1-100!

After these activities, we had some regular math stations and a few 100 Day read alouds. After that, was our 100 hunt! The kids LOVE number and word hunts! For this one, they had to search both 1st grade rooms and color the numbers on the chart that they found in our rooms. {I have this offered as a freebie here.}

After the hunt the kids had recess and lunch. After lunch we had another 100 day read aloud, we did our 100 second checklist, and then did our last activity before heading to PE. Our last activity was our 100 loves. Each student made 4 hearts. They drew a picture of something they love and I wrote what it is on the heart for them. Then they cut out the heart, glued it on construction paper, and cut it out again. These will be hung on our first grade tree in the hallway {picture in previous posts}. I'll post a picture of the tree once all of the hearts are up!

The kids also drew pictures of what they will look like when they are 100 years old and what their favorite thing to do will be when they are 100. These were hilarious! We made a book out of them. Here are a few of them! {watch wheel of fortune, be tardy, pat my cat, be lazy} I feel like I must explain the "be tardy"...that stems from the mornings when I take attendance and question kids about walking into the room late, where they were, etc. I have told them that I have to mark them tardy on the attendance sheet so this student felt that she can't wait to be 100 so that she can be late and not care!
