Hey bloggers!
I'm once again participating in Monday Made It with 4th Grade Frolics! This is such a fun linky. I love seeing what others are making and then trying them out myself!
This week, I made the word "READ" for my classroom library and decorated the letters! It was super easy. I've been meaning to get around to it, and I'm glad I finally did! It was just a one day project. I went to Michael's today (love that they give a teacher discount everyday) and got the modpodge, letters, & scrapbook paper. I found the letters & scrapbook paper in the 10 for $10 bins (so $1 each)!! I was really excited about that.
Anyway...it was just a matter of tracing the letters onto the paper, cutting them out, then slapping on some modpodge & letting it dry for about 15 minutes. I also put another layer of modpodge on the top and let it dry. I found some ribbon & buttons around my house and added them for some extra detail. EASY! These will be adorable in my classroom library! Here are a few pics of them:
I also made some new labels for the kids' book boxes. Nothing too crafty or fancy, just something to fit my classroom theme (which is mostly polka dots, specifically rainbow polka dots). So the book box labels have a rainbow border. I used these same borders on my library tubs so they'll match perfectly!
So there ya have my Monday Made Its!
Also...I noticed I'm getting close to 100 followers!! Amazing. Expect a giveaway soon after I hit 100...just in time for back to school!!!!
Your letters and labels are super cute!

Learning Is Something to Treasure
Thanks, Lisa! They really didn't take much time at all...once I gathered materials it took maybe an hour tops, and most of that is time to let the mod podge dry in between coats!
DeleteLove your letters! I've been wanting to make some of those! Yours turned out super cute!
