That's a wrap on 2017-2018!

Hi everyone!

Today was my last day of school!
I cannot believe how quickly this school year went by...between school, home, and my grad classes I definitely kept busy!

Here's what I've been up to the last few weeks!
Here are some end of the year activities that I used with my students to keep them engaged:

Here are the gifts that I gave my students this year!
I found the legos in the Target Dollar Spot and the books & bookmarks are from Scholastic. I usually give all of my students the same book, but I decided to but the 10 books for $10 packs this year so that they had some choice!

Here are the gifts my son gave his teachers!
My son had his last day at daycare this week. Not only was it his last day for this school year, but it's his last day for good...because he will start pre-k in the fall!
He picked out flowers and an Amazon gift card for the center director (left) and he picked out flowers and Dunkin' Donut gift cards for his teachers (right).

Here is what my principal gave us for Teacher Appreciation!
She brought us some kind of food every day:
(1) Donuts (2) Chips & Salsa, (3) Panera lunch, (4) Cookies, (5) Breakfast foods.
She also gave all of us this cute framed fingerprint project!

Here is my bulletin board!
I don't typically create a bulletin board at this point in the year, but I had some free time and wanted to get ahead. My school has an ocean theme next year, so I decided to go with this!
I will just change the wording when we go back to school in August.
Octopus:
I used standard purple construction paper.
The 8 legs vary in length from 8-15 chain links.

Seaweed:
I purchased green streamers at Dollar General.
They are just twisted and stapled to the board.

Fish:
I printed a fish shape template onto different colors of Astrobrights paper.
They are taped to the board. When I get my class list in the fall, I will add student names to the fish.

Background and Border:
The background is a blue plastic tablecloth from Target.
The border is by Trend and I purchased it at my local school supply store.

Hallway Display:
When students receive awards, they will have their picture taken in front of this display with their award! This is for the whole school.

So today I finished cleaning up my classroom and headed out for summer!
I'm looking forward to a summer break without grad classes and just hanging out with family.
I'm participating in a Coding Workshop in June through Code.org that I'm looking forward to as well! I'll blog all about it and share what I learn! :)

I hope everyone has a great summer!
