I'm linking up with Ashley over at Fierce in Fourth for a First Day Jitters Blog Hop!
Three things I am jittery about:1. My class. We usually get our class list a week or two before school starts. I'm always anxious to see if I recognize any of the names! I'm also anxious to see the number of students...our kindergarten classes were at 25 & 26 last year so it should be interesting to see what 1st grade numbers are this year!
2. First day plans! I always overestimate. I plan way too much and never get through it all...but I guess that's a good thing.
3. My schedule. I have had the same schedule the last two years. This year my school is adding an actual special ed classroom (instead of just resource, but we'll still have that too) and when the year ended, things were still up in the air as to how that would all work out. I'm hoping my schedule doesn't have to change, because I really like it. But I guess we'll find out the first week or so if things need to change!
Also, I added a few things to my stores!
First up, some Polka Dot Classroom Posters! I love these. As I've mentioned multiple times, I love polka dots and they will be all over my classroom this year! So I made these to put up on my cabinets!
Next, are some certificates & awards! These were a lot of fun to make! There are some generic awards, some birthday, some reading & math & writing, lost tooth awards, clean desk, star student, etc. There are copies in print and in cursive included in the pack.
Last for today, is a Polka Dot Management Clip Chart...for obvious reasons! :) I included 3 different versions inside the pack so you can choose which one you like or mix & match. There is a preview picture of the 3 versions when you click the link for TpT or TNbook.
So go check out my stores & check out the blog hop for the first day jitters of other teachers!! Enjoy what's left of your summer :)
I always overplan, too! I sometimes get annoyed that I don't always have time for all the cool activities I had lined up, BUT I'd MUCH rather OVERplan than UNDERplan!
ReplyDeleteI couldn't help noticing your background...looks like we have the same one! You are actually the first blog other than mine that I've seen with this background...I thought I'd clicked on my own blog there for a second. :) Cheers, Bloggy Twin!
