I completed another DIY project this week! I finally got around to making my teacher toolbox...and I LOVE it!
I purchased the toolbox at Menards. Then I just used scrapbook paper & packing tape! I printed my labels on clear labels so that it wouldn't block any of my cute paper! I ended up leaving a few blank...I'm sure once school starts and I put things in it, I'll think of other labels to make.
My husband decided that he wanted one too. He went with me to pick out his toolbox and then picked out the paper too. I don't think his will have any labels on it...they would distract from the cute drawers! He's a junior high social studies teacher :)
I'm also joining in on another linky party! I love linkies. This one is hosted by Grade Three is the Place for Me.
1. Where do you live?
I live in Illinois.
2. What is your current teaching position?
I currently teach 1st grade.
3. What is your teaching experience?
This will be my 3rd year teaching.
4. When did you start blogging?
I started blogging in January 2012...so about 7 months ago.
5. A blogging tip or resource?
Be active! Don't expect followers to just find you...go looking for them! Comment on other blogs, give feedback, and join linkies! Get yourself out there :)
I'm working on a few items for back to school...can you believe it's already creeping up on us?! I go back in a month! Wow. I'm excited to get back into my room though. I got word from my principal a few days ago that the rooms are officially done being cleaned so I'm going to head in tomorrow to start putting things back in place! There's a link to my TpT & TNbook stores on the top right of my page if you want to check out my items! :)
Hope you're having a great weekend!!
I am just soooo jealous of your toolbox. We don't have anything available in our shops like that (Australia). Great idea to print on the clear labels as well. Off to have a peek around your blog...

Really?! That's too bad. It's just a toolbox that I found at a hardware store. I think it's made to hold nails & screws & stuff...but it looks much better holding paper clips & post-its! haha. Maybe you could check on-line!...though I don't know what shipping charges are like to Australia. Thanks for stopping by! :)
DeleteI made a teacher's toolbox last spring and now I've changed my room decorations, so I'm going to have to redo it! haha
ReplyDeleteI also teach 1st grade and live in IL! I hope you will follow my blog and "Like" my Facebook page!
You're getting close to 100 followers!!

Hmm, I didn't think about that. Haha. I guess I'll just always have to have some polka dots in my room!..at least for awhile anyway! :)
DeleteI love how your toolbox came out & your husband's too!! I just made one for this year too & can't wait to be more organized. :)
