Winter Activities

Well, we survived our Christmas party today! But, I forgot to take pictures. Oh well. I do, however, have some pictures of some math stations we've been doing!

Here is a picture of the students putting the elf cards in order from 1-120. They put all of the cards on the desk, and then started calling out numbers in order (starting at 1) and finding them to put in a pile.
These students are matching addition ornaments to the ornament with the sum on it! (You can see one student using the number line on the desk next to her to find the answer.)
These students are practicing number order. They pick a card and write the number sequence (adding in the missing numbers) on the recording sheet.

All of these activities (& more!) can be found in my stores. It may be a little late for this year, but I'll be having a Christmas sale soon so you can pick them up and use them next year!

Here are a few pics of some gifts I got today...
My kids know ALL about my dog, Hunter. I write stories about him all the time and have 4 pictures of him on the background of my computer. So a student got me this:
Another student got me a yummy cookie cake! The kids know I am a Chicago Bears fan. A few of them are Packers fans so a little boy decided this would be a good gift for me:
Haha. Sweet (& funny) kids!

And lastly, I have a pinterest addition. You know that already. Lately, I've been pinning some new hairstyles! Here are a few that I tried & liked for school!
I tried this one first...my mom used to always do "topsy-tails" in my hair when I was little. This was a new twist on that. {Here} is a link to the explanation that I used.
And I finally learned how to do the fishtail braid! I love it! My mom used to do this to my hair all the time, as well, but I never learned how to do it myself. {This video} was super helpful!

Well, we're currently under a blizzard warning here in central Illinois. {ugh} They're calling for 3-5 inches of snow with 55mph winds. Fun. To this point, it hasn't really seemed like December...but I guess winter officially starts tomorrow and it wants everyone to know it!

Tomorrow is our last day before break...& it's pajama day! :)

Have a great weekend, bloggy friends!
